Between lurking here and XDA, I'm totally glad to have this community around - I have my phone rooted and now decided on the #2 ROM (I think) - yet to do it (hopefully today). Still running Gingerbread and its got my phone pretty effed, and I have to get this thing working well again as this phone is key to my livelihood.

Just wanted to share my thanks to those who post and share knowledge and also thanks to developers here who give up so much time so we can get good use from our phones. I hope to be of some contribution as well with my experience (trial and errors). =p Moving right along.

Oh, and hi!

Oh, and hi!

Good to hear.. as for #2 make a backup of your current rom and install #2 you will love the rom runs smooth and is fast and very responsive also has some good tweaks for your phone...hope you like it.

Yeah I am anxious to get it done but being a novice I'm hesitant.

Think I will have a go at it tonight. My sister wants me to push and learn development. She's been on ububtu for years. So go figure. =p

Welcome aboard!

She is 33, I think she got started back around 2005-06. I was running Ububtu myself say 3 years ago? I'm her baby sister, so I had to. I wasn't that interested in messing with it, I was frustrated with it, I'd been a windows user since 3.1 and I was a corporate admin, so I was kind of ruined I guess.

I feel old now. I'm 31 for the record.

Hi all. =)

Been running in circles trying to get this phone to run like it could. I'm having problems with Superuser. Something I did at some point triggers it to keep force closing. I've tried updating the binary, I've set it to prompt me/not prompt.

I am ultimately stuck trying to backup Gingerbread (I'd like to do all back-ups to dropbox if I can). My SD card is full - my friend put an external card in. But alas SU is weird so I cant do any batch operations (moving apps). If anyone feels like playing captain save a noob....

/facepalm

Download superSU from the market.. I use it instead of Superuser. Much better in my opinion

Right - why do I keep thinking ChainsDD has a monopoly on superuser access? =p

I've installed it - It's been installing the binary files for several minutes now. this seems ominous. Will give it a few.
