This phone rocks

Like all devices, the Razr has good & bad points, but IMO the Razr's good points far outweigh the bad. Agreed on the rocks.
 
This is prob the best phone I had by far.

Love it, still trying to get this phone set up to my likings. But still a newbe on smart phones.
 
Got this phone expecting to replace it....every day I begin to rethink this decision. Especially after I was talking on it for 6 hours straight while driving home from college and the battery still lasted me a few hours after that!

Talking on the phone is a dying art. Glad to see some ppl still appreciate being able to have long conversations and not worry about battery life.
 
Still loving mine. Been rock solid since purchase on release day. My only issue is now the wife wants me to get her one. Didn't think she'd want one but she has been using mine and likes it. She's only 5'1" and she doesn't seem to mind the phone being a little wider. She didn't even notice it until I mentioned it to her and then she said "oh yeah, I guess it is" and went back to messing around with it. She gave me an ultimatum; told me to get her one or she is going to take mine and give me her iPhone4.
 
At Thanksgiving my bro-law (owns 3 Verizon retail stores) let me check out his RAZR. If the G-Nex doesn't drop soon I may just go with one. Screen was much better than I thought it would be after all the "Oh my gawd pentile noes!!!" threads. The phone was snappy with zero hints of lag. My bro-law said battery was amazing which surprised me because he uses it as his personal and business phone in one so he abuses the battery and has been let down by every other phones battery. I couldn't get over how thin and light it was. Felt great in the hand. Count this iPhone 4 owner as jeluz. Any idea if the locked boot loader will be a major detriment? If I got one I'd like to flash to AOSP rom.
 
Have had mine for just over 24 hours. Still tweaking it. Right now using less than 10% battery per hour, should have it down to 3% in a couple days. Everything else is amazing. Screen is fine for me, speed is great, and the look and feel are out of this world....... So yes.......this phone rocks.
 
I love mine too except that it keeps rebooting :mad: Tonight, I noticed it is a real problem when in the gallery, happened about 6 times and had to do 3 hard resets... I will exchange if for another though if there is no fix. My battery life has been excellent btw.
 
Would have bought one today in a VZ store but they wanted to charge me a $20 "Early upgrade" fee, even though when I logon to the website it says "upgrade available!"

So I ordered one online instead $249 (without any $20 fee). Tired of waiting on a Nexus. I will have until mid Jan to swap but doubt I will.

In my case, it's a serious downgrade from my iPhone 4. Man, now I can't even take Visual Voicemail for granted. This rental period is painful waiting for the Galaxy Nexus.

You seem to be contradicting to some degree (IMO):

Your view of the Razr was predisposed from the get-go in your seemingly condescending OP about the display.

Dismiss the Razr as an absolute, yet assume a yet unreleased device for VZW is better (the Nexus).

If you are using the iPod as a litmus, you will NOT like the Nexus, since it ain't no iOS device and is less intuitive than GB- to iOS seasoned people.

Everybody has their opinion, but yours respectfully seems a self-fulfilled prophecy.

Added:

All of the devices have strong points and weak points, but none appear to fit the absolutes being conveyed. Enjoy your Nexus or iPhone 4S. You will not have to be labored with the Razr for much longer :)

As much as I can't wait to go back to Android (either RAZR or Nexus) from my iPhone 4, the man has a point about visual voicemail. Nobody does it better than the iPhone, and it's free on the iPhone (thanks Apple). I really wish the Android OEMs would band together and tell VZW to F off and that they will offer it as a free feature.

Point still is mz is ragging on the Razr, but praising the Nexus- yet not out yet and will have the SAME issues since not iOS.

Seems a contradiction touting features of the 4S, yet yearning for the Nexus and assuming it will be better, while down on the Razr (it does not make sense). ICS is even more of an opposite to iOS.

Seems 4S is the ulitmate path, unless ragging on the Razr has been a vehicle for touting up the Nexus, all along. Hope not the case, but can not add the points up.

Seems to be touting the Nexus and using the Razr as fodder for it.
 
I'm seriously getting sick and tired of hearing all these people calling the RAZR a rental phone until the Nexus comes out. I guarantee you guys, the Nexus won't be all that. All it has going for it is ICS and that won't mean anything after the RAZR gets it too. Don't like the RAZR? Go back to your iPhone 4 if the RAZR is a "serious downgrade".
 
Seems pure Nexus luv and using the Razr as fodder to contrast the Nexus "greatness", but only one person knows for sure if so.
