Hi, just wanted to thank the creater and administraters of this site for making and helping android fans to have a place to go to for info and help with our devices. I am a newbee to forums and the android market. My old phone crapped out (flip phome) on me and was givin my first smart phone by a friend that had an extra one laying around, Samsung Galaxy Prevail,. I was surfing around Youtube and came across a video about how to root your phone. A subject I have become obsessed with! After a week and a half or so of sleepless nights researching other sites (XDA, ACS very informative). All roads led me here "all things root". I am amazed by what this site has to offer with the amount of knowledge and support that is available! I will be gaining root access to my phone this morning as well as flashing the rom and kernel. This wld not be possible without the developers and people like yourselves providing the "know how". Thank you so much for the wonderfull work you have done to make this possible for me. This forum is the best I have come across and the only one I have registered with. I plan on participating and donating to help keep this forum alive. Keep up the great work! :)

Twisted, welcome to Android Forums!

You may be surprised to find out that everybody here started in Android at ZERO. Just like you. It took a lot of reading, asking questions, and - yes - making a few mistakes to get to a point that you might call "expertise". We ALL started where you are skill-wise.

We're all happy to hear that you like it here, you like how we do things, and that you intend to give back to the AF community by helping others and paying it forward. It's how we all grow, and when we grow together it's just... better.

It's great to have you aboard! :)

P.S. - once you are rooted and have your custom recovery flashed, MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP! Make backups early and often, especially before doing anything fancy!
 
Most definately will make backups! I just wanted to express how much having a forum like this to come to helps everyone and that ya'll ( I'm from Texas lol ) are apreciated.
