It's been two months only I got my first Android smartphone. It has the Android 2.1 Eclairs platform installed. I have always loved Linux and the open-source concept. It feels very good, at least for me, to have a Linux-based smartphone in my hands. I got it rooted in the first week despite the risk of bricking it. I have taken the most out of my phone up to this day, and yet there seems to be no end to the utility I find in it. Anyways, I am here to share with you today three of my favorite applications that I frequently use and love to use. I believe you too would love to install them in your android smartphone. Here I go.

1. Go Launcher Ex (and all the related apps and widgets from the same developer)
-

They are extremely useful and eye candy replacement of the stock launcher - the home screen supporting more features than you would ever think of, the cosy app drawer, and lovely things with lots of custom optimizations. I love Android for its openness. They let you do everything with your phone you want to. Anyways, I would like to tell you that this does not require ROOT - good news for those who are afraid of getting their warranty void, and I strongly recommend these apps if you want to make your Android look really cool.

2. Animated Weather for Android -

3. SnappzMarket -

I hope the information I shared was useful. Best of luck. Thank you.

mmmm. not sure about this snappzmarket

if i understand correctly, someone buys an app, uploads it to this market, then anyone else can get it for free.

developers who put time into creating apps for us deserve payment for their time and efforts. this sort of thing may well contribute to developers thinking twice about releasing things for android, and supporting it could do us all harm.

it may not be illegal to talk about it, but not sure it's something that should be promoted on here.

(if i've got the wrong end of the stick, I apologise!)

AFAIK Warez talk is not allowed on this forum. I'll report this. We should support developers and buy the apps, otherwise, they'll stop making apps. Imagine a world where the people with knowhow and great ideas only keep their own apps for themselves and not sell it.

An app black market... Pirated apps is bad for all of us. And even if there are legal app's on snappz, no one should support a site that has illegal apps.

Warez is a cancer.

The BLACK Market for Android where you get the paid apps for free - the other day I heard one man crying this. Nonsense! It is not. I find it very legal and quite useful. Well the official description is this: "working to be the #1 alternative android marketplace in the world!" I think it is not illegal to talk about illegal things. After all, everybody knows stolen fruits are the sweetest of all. Anyways, this is one of the places you would love to explore, and of course fully in the legal way.

How can it be 'very legal' but still 'stealing'?

No, it's still illegal. Also, pirated apps are known to contain malware, even Android games. Have fun.

Besides, if developers keep making apps, and people keep pirating them, and if they do get to the point where they are the #1 alternative market...guess what? Devs may stop making apps for Android. Because there's nothing to gain.
