hi guys, first post, i purchesed a note 10.1, i took my sim card out of my iphone, put it in the note, can make and recieve calls and text messages, but it wont allow me to use the internet, comes up a message, " not allowed to use a voice plan sim card in a tablet" im on the " all in one plan" on three. anyone got any ideas? thanks

i have, they useless, they said i can teather my iphone to my note, but told them the reason i bought the note, was to save me carrying my ipad and iphone around all day.

I feared that might be the case. I've heard of such silliness (trying to force people to pay for a second data allowance). I don't know whether anyone in the device forum or the Three forum will know of any alternative. If they use the IMEI to identify the device type (which is what I'd do if I were trying to do impose such a restriction) I think you'll be stuck though.

If your tablet does not support radio bands then you won't be able to do that. Some devices, like my N7 don't have support for that, only support for mobile network, not the radio frequencies.

Sure we've had this before with Three UK. They think you're tethering because you're not using the default browser, and not using the phone that they supplied. Most likely doing deep packet inspections.
