time and date confusion

Sounds like the phone may not be set to automatically set the date/time from the network. To adjust I think you need to go to App Drawer -> Settings -> Date & Time. To configure the phone to set the phone automatically, make sure that "Automatic" is selected. Otherwise you can manually change the date/time in "Set Date" or "Set Time"...
