Time between series...

That's exactly what I do with HBO. My wife loves True Blood....

As does mine. ;)

But I work for a cable provider and get my package plus the premium movie channels for free. :D

I do know a number of customers that drop the premiums when their shows are not on as well.

You know who else is taking time between good series now?

Netflix.

Lilyhammer was absolutely fabulous.

Waiting on the next season of House of Cards (originally a BBC series, long ago).

Lilyhammer was absolutely fabulous.

I loved the first season of Lilyhammer, but haven't gotten time to watch the newest (I started it this morning actually, but got interrupted by the kids/wife...).

But yeah, I would much rather wait a bit longer for a show and it be really good, than have a ton filler episodes that are junk.

I just remembered a great one I had left of my last post.... Falling Skies!

I read an article that had some of the highest rated shows making the BBC 330 million pounds a year. I just think they're evil and mean. I'm also sure Moffat got picked on a lot as a kid and it's payback.

Evil and mean for what? Only screening one full series of Doctor Who per year? TBH I doubt they could physically do much more than that.

As for mid-series breaks, odd weeks off for sports events, and the resulting irregular schedules, I can't see why anyone would think those are desirable.

Anybody know if Defiance is coming back on SyFy? I really liked that show.

Yes, not sure on dates though. When I went to Comic-Con last year I ate at the Defiance restaurant (hard rock cafe all decked out).

They had a TON of defiance stuff around. The season had just ended then so I figure it will be back soon.
