Time killing apps

Ok, let's say you're sitting in a waiting room tomorrow. It's going to be a little while. The waiting room magazines consist of mostly year old golf magazines and you don't golf. So you whip out your phone and load up an app to kill 15-20 minutes of wait time. What app are you going to use to pass the time?

I'm likely facing that situation in a few hours and I'm a little tired of Angry Birds so I downloaded a history quiz app this morning.

Mantano Reader. Mine contains whatever ebook I am reading at the moment (Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series, and I have Wheel of Time and Song of Ice and Fire in there too, as well as Hunger Games)

Temple Run

Facebook/Twitter/Path.

I'm partial to word search games so I have one on my phone for the kind of idle time you're talking about.

I also like to try and keep up with the latest in news, technological and in general. For that I have Phandroid, Engadget and Pulse which is set to my preferences.

If I burn through all of those, and I cannot tell a lie, I troll 4chan with Chandroid. Be forewarned though, 4chan is not for the faint of heart. As they say, what goes on in /b/ stays in /b/ though it seldom does.

I generally bring my Kindle for reading. I just don't see my cell phone as an e-reader when I have a specific e-reader which by the way I took with me to my appointment today.

I'm a sudoku 10,000 addict, if I have 5 minutes to kill and my phone is near chances are I'm playing it

About the only timekillers I have installed are 250+ Solitaire, Shortyz crosswords, and Mahjongg Artifacts. I usually play Yukon if I'm playing solitaire, but that's just my personal preference.

Was excited to see that you play dominoes and downloaded that app that you mention in your post -- dominoes deluxe free. I didn't like it, the look is pretty and all, but you can't drag dominoes, only tap them and the whole thing seemed too slow and cranky. Graphics were OK, but I like Dominoes GC much better. Try it sometime.
