time problem with samsung galaxy note 2

my phone is approx. 6 mo old galaxy note 2 ....I live in Rochester ny when time changed so did my phone then all of a sudden my phone is 1 hour off. if you pull down in the left corner time is correct in settings on auto time shows correct but on home page it is incorrect. I cant fix it tried shutting down...taking out battery...unchecking auto....changing time manually and then rechecking auto...time zone is correct....hate this...$300. dollar phone...don't need this...HELP....BTW my alarm that is set went off correctly....this changed by itself...I have Verizon...that's another story no customer loyality...

Hi

I think you are referring to the time on the home screen widget. Try removing the widget by long pressing and dragging it off the top of the screen. Then re install it and see if it picks up the right time from your phone.
