Root Time to say bye...

It has been fun, but I think it is time to kiss the Marquee goodbye for me. I have an opti S and a marquee. The marquee was not the best one, it was sluggish and crappy at times. Then I broke the glass. It is within my ability to repair, but I am not.
I am going back to the opti S as a spare for a bit, then trying to use the marquee as a donor phone for my GF's old DINC2 and bring it to ting. It will be my first carrier flash, so wish me luck.

Thanks to all the devs, mods, and hackers that make this forum thrive.
Depending on how the flash goes, once the marquee is zeroed out and I have wiped the MEID, I may donate it to a dev if one is needed, but it will be a wifi only device. It still works fine, even with the broken glass.

All good things come to an end. I would like to thank all the devs who helped to make the marquee so cool. It brought alot of us together on this forum and anything that can do that is cool in my book. My wife has decided to upgrade like me to the Galaxy S4 so I will be retiring the marquee in September. Once again thanks to one and all I will look forward to seeing some of you in the S4 section.

@ Brad, I wish you the best buddy. Take care and hopefully we'll cross paths again. :D

Ink, I have a feeling that you're gonna love the S4. A friend of mine at work has one and that baby is NICE!!!!!! ;)

I MEAN really NIIIIIIIICE!!!!!! LOL :p:D I looked at it and almost started drooling. lmao.:eek:

Speaking of work, man it's keeping me busy. As you can see by the time of this post, it's late. I sure miss hanging out in here. I've learned a lot in this forum and met some super awesome people. :)

I'll sure be glad once I get school over and done with. Going to school, interning, plus going to 8 hour software training classes a few times a week is really taking it's toll on my personal life not to mention my health. Thankfully I've only got two or three more of those software training classes. Those things are intense!! How someone can make something so easy so hard really blows my mind. Oh well, it is what it is. Getting certified is a must! :(

Only 4 more weeks of school too!! WooHoo!!

OK, time to crash. Gotta get up in 4 hrs and do it all again. GRRRRRR!!!!

Have a great evening bro!
Later. :)

Yep we all must move on to better devices, back then this forum was packed and was very social and yea we all met some pretty cool people but looks like we have all migrated and sadly so am I soon as soon as I get enough money but yea I know I'll see some of you in the SV forums just like wetbiker :) its been fun and Modding guys lets make memories elsewhere

Waiting for the Moto X myself, but yeah, my Marquee will be gone in a month or two as well. CTMOD has been awesome, but Sprint finally has LTE in my area, and oh boy is it fast on my wife's S3.

Awww. Now I'm starting to feel all lonely. :( that's OK. I'm far too cheap to go with one of the better phones you are all talking about. Although, I have to admit that the Moto X does look pretty good.

Oh well. For now I'm extremely satisfied with CTMOD and take comfort in the knowledge that there are qualified people working on bringing CM10 to the lowly Marquee!

I wouldn't call it "lowly." It may not compare with the newest offerings, but it has proven to be a very "solid" phone, at least in my experience, and I have been using it for well over a year.

I will eventually upgrade myself, but I remember when the Marquee was "The Phone" on Boost. There is still a lot of mileage for this phone, considering what is still in development. At least for me.

I know exactly what you mean when you say that the Marquee is a "solid" phone. That's a fact and mine runs like a champ. I usually ran it at 1.3ghz but it will run at 1.4ghz with no issues at all. It'll go through a battery pretty quick at that setting though. lmao!! I've only had one issue since buying it. A few months after getting it, I decided to play around with ROM Manager. BAD IDEA and Bye Bye Motherboard! LG fixed it with no questions asked and it's been running great ever since. Well over a year now and my Marquee is still going strong! Man I love this phone. :D

As a matter of fact, In the past 2 weeks I've had several people offer to buy it but I just can't bring myself to let it go.

I just bought the Boost S3 because I was having trouble with calls dropping on the HTC One SV. The SV, well it's gotta go once I'm confident that the S3 is going to hold calls better. Don't get me wrong either. The HTC One SV is a great phone and runs flippin awesome!!!!! It just doesn't pick up a signal very well out here where I live. As for my Marquee, it stays right where it is. On My Desk! lol.... My Prevail will probably keep it company for a good while too. I don't plan on selling either of them.

Out of all the Boost phones I've had, the Marquee get the best signal by far. Heck, it even gets a better signal than my brand new S3! Crazy huh? Yup, the Marquee definitely stays right where it is. ;)
