For anyone wondering, these seem to be dating apps. Not something similar to Amazon Kindle (tinder - kindle ... get it? )

And according to the huffingtonpost article, it uses facebook. That's how it works. So I'm not sure why you'd use it without facebook (it probably wouldn't work)... but I'm sure someone could think of an alternative to using their facebook account.

the only reason it wants to connect to your facebook is for your photos, it won't post anything on your wall or show that you're using the app swoon and tinder both go through Facebook for you to pick photos to use and see your if you and your "match" have shared friends
