Tiny wings equivelant?

I emailed the developer asking whether an Android version was in the works, but I have heard nothing back.

at the moment i don't have any plans to port tiny wings to android. but maby someday in the future when i have time... we will see.

Andreas is very active on the touchardade forums (for iDevices only :/) and has seemed to be very willing to take people's suggestions to heart. I wouldn't rule one out.
 
It should be an easy conversion over to Android.
I'm not a dev, so I don't know how "easy" it really is, but I believe Android is worth it...

I just wanted to stop by and let you know that since Andreas isn't planning on making a port to Android, I've actually decided to work on my own game inspired by Tiny Wings.

The game is called "Dillo Hills" (as in "armadillo", one of the playable characters), and features the gameplay you love from Tiny Wings, with some new inspirations and features. :D

I'm hoping to have it finished and on the Android market as early as this Friday. Keep an eye open for it!

This is great news! I hope you take the time to polish the game though. Tiny Wings is a very polished and professional looking game.. hopefully your game is the same. I say this because im far too used to lower grade games on the android market trying to mimic iOS versions. Please make this one on par!

Absolutely! We're all putting a lot of love, polish, and testing into this, because we really want to get it right. If that means extending the release date to make sure everything is perfect, that's what we'll do, but I'm still feeling pretty good about this weekend.

The goal isn't to mimic Tiny Wings exactly, but to provide a high-quality, highly-polished alternative for the Android market. I think it's a bit too early to really compare the two games neck-and-neck, but I like to think that what we've got is already shaping up be a heck of a lot of fun. ;)

I'll try to keep you fellas posted. It's nice to see we're gathering a little bit of attention, but there's still plenty of work to be done before we're ready to make any sort of official announcements.

From the video, yours seems... easier. Almost too easy. I think one of the things I like about Tiny Wings is that it's pretty challenging.

I know you don't want to make a clone, which is commendable. Otherwise, your game will simply be taken down.

Keep up the good work, though. Looking forward to it.

@Fex, great to hear that you are making a Tiny wings equivalent game :) I hope that yours will satisfy the members here. When you have your game ready for released, I'd recommend that you create your own thread to announce the game in the Application Announcements - Android Forums. Agreed it did seem a little easy in the video.

However i disagree in that if he makes a clone it won't be taken down. Ok sure if he makes the EXACT same game and calls it Tiny Wings then sure it will be, but if he includes the exact same elements in the game yet manages to differentiate it from Tiny Wings with the armadillo theme then it will be ok for the market. In saying that, Fex, i hope you do include most of the elements from Tiny Wings because that's what makes the game. From things like the music, to the beautiful colours, the smooth animation, multipliers... it all adds up to a great experience.

Keep up the great work mate. Looking forward to release.

Hahah, well, the last time I made a rough estimate (for the release date), it got turned by the press into a cold, hard, fact, so I think I'll hold my tongue until I'm 100% sure about the price. XD

With that said, you can expect it to be well within the normal range for paid games: a little bit of pocket change. :)

Don't worry about release dates. Make it the best fun game you can. When it's done, it's done! :)

With that said, you can expect it to be well within the normal range for paid games: a little bit of pocket change. :)

Haters gonna hate, just do the best you can for this game it looks great already fex, expect my loose change to be forwarded to your pockets when this releases.
