TIPS TO NOT ALLOW DATA MINING AND DATA RAPING BY THE AP NEWS APP AND OTHER NEWS APPS:

if anyone has seen my prior posts, i hate data mining and data raping, and paying for free news apps.

first, please make sure to turn off, in google market settings, your permission for google selling your personal information. do this every time google updates market, as google will reset your privacy setting, and allow 3rd party marketing.

now, the information on some news apps.

the "free" new york times app is 100% worthless; it limits free viewing to only 20/twenty articles per month, period. after that, no access without a $4.00 per month fee.

a rip off. they can go to hell. why?

instead, use a free mobile friendly link, type in your phone's web browser exactly this, and do not worry about the www and http crap: mobile.nytimes.com/ and then bookmark it, and then save a direct web bookmark it to your phone's screen of choice.

wall street journal, another rip off app. you need to register, and screw that. just go to your phone's web browser, forget the www and http crap, and just type mobile2.wsj.com/ and then bookmark it, and save the web bookmark to your phone's screen of choice.

lastly, the worst and most malicious news app is the ap (associated press) news app.

every time i opened it, and i checked it many, many times with all my other apps closed, the ap news app opened literally almost every single app i have on my phone, all of them not needed or relevant, including youtube, which i have literally never, ever used on my phone, my browser to spy on where i go, my google search system app file, my clock, my calendar, my network location, and every single game and other news app i have; no joke.

f that. f them. i noticed this checking my favorite task manager/cache cleaner, "quick app manager", which i love.

solution, forget the www and http crap; just type in your phone's browser: apnews.com/ap/index bookmark it, then save it to your phone's screen of choice.
