Titanium Backup Encryption

Reading a blog from 2012 about using Google Drive and what they can do with your data, if it still applies, makes one want to be sure Titanium Backup's are encrypted. TB has on the menu a place to check for encryption of your BU but I do not see where you can encrypt with your own special "key." Does TB create it's own and changes this with different backups?
