Titanium Backup -- How Much Space?

Looking to back up my apps using Titanium Backup. Two questions:

1. It says I have 145 MB on my internal memory, and 3.37 GB on my SD card. If I'm just backing up the apps, anyone have a sense of approximately how much space it will take up?
2. Once a backup is made, do people typically keep it on the card, or move it to a computer until it is needed?

It depends on the compression level set in Titanium, but as APKs are already zipped the backup won't be much less than the space taken up by the installed apps. I have approx 300MB of my internal memory in use and my backup takes up 275MB, with GZIP compression in use.

Once a backup is made, do people typically keep it on the card, or move it to a computer until it is needed?

Mine remains on the card as I update it regularly to keep it current.

I keep mine on my SD card and synced to Dropbox.
