Help Titanium Backup Issue on non-rooted phone

Wonder if anyone here can help me since sending a ticket directly to the devs at Titanium Backup did nothing as they won't respond to me.

Samsung Note 3.

I was using Android 4.4.2 awhile ago so I rooted my phone with towelroot... the easy way of course.

Downloaded Titanium Backup and bought the pro key for it so I had the power to fully freeze/unfreeze system apps. I made two scheduled backups also to run Friday morning at 2:00 to backup all my apps. It all worked great until I updated to Android 5.0 which of course I lost root access.

Right now the phone is not rooted. I don't like the current way of rooting 5.0 so I'm waiting for something better to come out. However, since my phone is not rooted, Titanium Backup gives me warning messages when I open it saying the phone isn't rooted and the program will not work.

My question is this. I can't get into the area to set the scheduled backups because my phone is not rooted. That means every Friday morning it tries to backup my apps but can't. I can't get into the settings to disable the backup. I don't know what else to do. I want to disable the backup but I need root access to get into the menu choices in order to disable the backup.

Is there any other way to stop the scheduled backups without having to root my phone again? And without having to uninstall the app?
