Titanium Backup question

Hey, i'm getting a replacement phone soon, and accidentally deleted a few system apps on my current phone. I'm not worried about having them on the one phone i'm sending back.
My question is: when/if I backup my current phone (some system apps deleted), and then restore it on the new phone, would the system apps be on the new phone that i'm going to? along with everything that's backed up?

It's NEVER a good idea to backup and/or restore system apps from phone to phone, even if it's the same model. Your best bet is to just backup your apps with Titanium, then flash a stock rom on the old phone before you turn it in.

Please tell me why?
is there a certain batch run or whatever (I'm so fricken new to this) that i could do so i can go to the new, same model phone? just not back up system apps...?
i thought thats what this thing was for..... switching to new phones...

either way, i want my phone how it is now(but i want the system apps that i accidentally deleted on there) on the new device, how can i do that??
thanks

In Titanium? Go to batch-Backup all user apps and data.

Technically it was made to backup apps, not entire system files. You can certainly try to backup and restore the system files if you want, but I can almost guarantee you will run into problems.

Well the new phone should come in a factory state, so everything you deleted from your current phone will be there, as its a new phone.

And coming from someone who flashes a new rom every 2 weeks or so, it really doesnt take that long to go through your system apps and settings and get them back to the way you want them. I flash a new rom, download Titanium, restore my apps. Then I go through all my system settings and put them back to how I like. I can do all of that in less than 10 minutes. It's really not worth saving 10 minutes to try and restore system apps to a different phone, and then run into problems which will cause you to have to factory reset anyway and start again.

Ok i'm a noob, flash and rom are another language to me.
I'm fine with doing my system settings again. So I just backup user apps and data, and it will put my layout how I had it, contacts, apps, saved games? Then do I transfer to computer? Then root new phone immediately, install TI Backup? Then connect to computer and transfer over to new phone?
I'm a noob... Just rooted my phone (so far cuz Idk what else to do) to mega morph stuff, have a wifi hotspot and I think that's it.. I have setCPU and haven't even messed with that cuz I don't understand what exactly to do... Complete noob to rooting. I know phones (worked for sprint), just not root.
Thanks

Apps and games (and game saves) yes. Home screen layout, no, that is a system file. What I do is I just make a list of all the apps and widgets i have on my home screens, and when I get a new rom and put all the apps back on, it only takes a minute or two to get the layout back to how I had it. As far as contacts, those should be backed up to google, just go into your People/Contacts app, hit menu-view, and make sure all your contacts are Google Contacts and not Phone Contacts.

Then do I transfer to computer?

No need to transfer to a computer, Titanium will back everything up to the sd card, just put the card into the new phone when you get it.

Then root new phone immediately, install TI Backup?

Yes, set up your gmail account, then login to the Market and download Titanium after rooting, then go to Batch-Restore all Apps with data.

Thanks. So is titanium premium worth getting then? i heard it comes in handy with "0 click batch restore" or something like that?

The pro key is one of the best root related purchases you can make, it is very annoying to reinstall 50+ apps having to press "install" and "close" for each app

using the pro version is real easy then? what would i do on the new phone after i rooted it, got the pro version on it, and had the sd card inserted?

Open titanium backup, press menu, press batch, then scroll down to restore and restore all user apps with data. You still have to have the free version, the pro version is a key that unlocks the features that are not selectable in the free version.

great. thank you. and with the pro key bought and installed it will automagically download and install all the apps that i got from the android market

No you will need to back the apps up from the prior phone first, the apps and data will be saved to the SD card, those files are needed to do the restore

run the backup batch "user apps and data"? then move sd to new phone (root from sd card (gingerbreak) then download TI backup) then run the restore "user apps and data"?
just so i have it down PACKED :P
