Root Titanium Backup

I have TB Pro. Have recently reflsahed ctmod and replaced the backup file on sdcard from pc. Reinstalled TB from Playstore. Problem is TB is not recognizing the previous backups.

I have tried emailing TB through Playstore but PS force closes everytime I hit email link?

Does anyone know how I can get TB to 'see' backup?

Well for one thing, you need to set up the stock email app in order for PlayStore to email. Gmail has never worked for me when trying to email from the PS.

As for the backups, it depends on how you saved them to your PC and then added them back to the sd card. Try this, copy all of the apps from your pc, minus the TB folder. Open the TB folder on the sd card while connected to your pc and paste them in it. Either that or just copy the entire TB folder from your PC and overwrite the one on your sd card then REBOOT. Sometimes a reboot is required for TB to see the apps and sometimes it's not.

Let me know if that worked for you. We've got other options to restore your apps. You can also restore the data ext from one of your CWM backups. I'll wait on an answer for a little bit.

EDIT: Can't wait much longer buddy, gonna have to get some sleep. Hopefully it worked for you.

Hey sorry wet biker I didn't know anyone had responded till now. Been a real busy day. I had switched from data mode to ssm last night. Had to do the whole repartition thing and decided to go ahead and reflaah ctmod. I have noticed that my internal storage is not showing the value I have set for partition. Need to figure out what's up with that first.

You may have issues trying to restore with data mode or the SSM. You may need to ask one of the guys using either of those. I usually restored from scratch when I was running the SSM.

The extra storage won't show up using SSM. This is because it doesn't Mount the sdext as the /data partition. It just mounts part of the /data folder. (/data/app to one partition and /data/dalvik on the other)

If you open titanium backup, there should be a graphic display showing the available space. Alternatively, if you open terminal emulator and type
Code:
df
it will display all your partitions and the space available.

Thx bro: I am glad you posted that. It wild have thrown me off cause I am used to running data mode. I will check it out tom been doing some drinking :p

LOL , yeah... even though SSM is working, it doesn't show the correct free space in titanium. sorry bout that. I was still stuck on you trying to restore your backup. I'm glad LV caught that. If you'll notice when you install apps now, it will not deduct the entire size of the app you install. It's because only part of it goes to your internal. The other part goes to your card like LV was saying. It's neat the way Kouma has it set up like that. That's one of the reasons the SSM is faster too. All the data it needs to access doesn't have to come from your sd card.

I usually had trouble restoring backups while running the extra partitions on my sd card like with the SSM. That's why I usually installed it all from scratch. It's usually ok to restore just the apps too if you can get them to restore. You can run into some problems when trying to restore their data even without the extra partitions. Even though I don't run two partitions on my phone now, I still only restore app data to only a few apps and that's only after I've installed them all without data 1st. I'll go back to apps like tasklist to restore the data.

OK this all makes sense why I am experiencing what I am with ssm and trying to restore backups. I going to play with it this evening. Thx wetbiker and lv, you both have saved me certain insanity trying to figure this out.
