'nough said... The "gb source" being referred to is the recently-release Epic source package. That's solid proof that it's being worked on. ;)

EDIT: Uhhhh.... Look what I found, folks. [ROM] R915USEI28 [Android 2.3.5][28.09.2011] - xda-developers Link's dead, but... what. Huh.
EDIT2: And I found an even more recent build! The strange part is, no R910 leak.

Definitely not. Never flash between phones, even similar devices like R910 and R915. I'm downloading an October 6 Gingerbread build for R915 right now.

EDIT: Need an R915 guinea pig to IRC! No chance of brick. Must be rooted/CWM'd. If you've worked with me before, I want you.
 
I just wish MetroPCS would actually update their phones.. they are the only carriers who don't do so. And we have to rely on ROMs for major OS updates.

They do update their phones. Just not often. The huawei ascend had an update to 2.2 about 3months after 2.3 was ported as a cyanogen mod.

Yes I know, but nothing major. Other carriers are fast to update their phones. But we still have yet to see that from MetroPCS.
 
Ok Ive been flashing custom roms so far for about eh 30 minutes to an hour, coffeed and cant remember. So far what Ive noticed is that the cwmod flash dosnt seem very compatable after each flash ( odin method probably better ), so then installs the recovery for each rom, blech, removing cwm recovery. So as to this I would say when building newer roms for r910/915 please include CWM version of recovery or you get tanked with that old useless samsung recovery that wont even dalvik. Also can I ask if it is possible to include some kind of samsung ( samedung ) market enabler. I am able to install purchased games that market thinks dosnt work e.g. modern combat 2 and they worrk just fine on this phone so wtf with the market block? Just remember that controls can be modified if you are trying to purchase a game for the indulge, so move modified sd card contents from the galaxy s onto your indulge and put the controls from the middle of the screen back where they belong, play and enjoy at twice the speed as on the samedung galxy s. wow that was hard.
 
So is there a rom for the R910 yet that can update to the 2.3 OS or is that just for the R915? Did anyone try crossing the roms yet?
