TMO is in the process of refarming 2G or Edge over to LTE. Also apparently changing AWS to PCS.
I can understand basically what they are doing and why, but I will be damned if I can figure out which band is which. I don't have Band 12 on the phone, but can get some Band 4 LTE. Yet I can still get HPDSA and HPDSA+ along with 3G.
What is also puzzling is with the switch to LTE, how does it deal with altitude? I really do live above the towers. I'd see them if they were on another hill. Will some older spectrum that does work with altitude be kept?
