TMo My Account 2.0 bug

GeoUSA

The new "My Account 2.0" for TMobile is a nice looking app. Have already encountered a bug. If you enable alerts for minutes and texts (supposed to alert you when you reach 75% of your minutes or texts used), it shows the alerts long before you reach 75%. I awoke this morning to 2 unusual new symbols in triangles on my Android windowshade. I have only used about 10% of my minutes and texts so far (hey it's early in my billing month)! :D

I had the same thing!
It's almost like it works backwards, telling you when you have more than 75% of your text/minutes REMAINING. I emailed their app people about it, haven't received a response.

Rooted Phones can now use this app ... !!

Ok, so you have the New T-Mobile "My Account" app for you phone ...

You try to use it ... and it says it does not recognize your phone
model.. Most likely the reason is ... You have a rooted phone with
the Model Listed as Something like "Android Dev Phone 1" ...
and what the app is looking for is the phone model to be T-Mobile G1.

Well Our Developer Devolio has a simple fix for that ...
You will need to change your model number of the phone by running a
script from the terminal in SU mode ...
and then reboot the phone and the App will recognize your phone as
a T-Mobile G1

Thanks, but that doesn't really address the problem.

There's an update out for My Account 2.0 that seems to have fixed the problem. I re-enabled my minutes and texts alerts this weekend and it has not given a false warning.

True, It doesnt address your problem with the % used issue ... but it does address another problem... but was just another point to let people know that the app was not working for rooted phones, but there was a solution for that issue ...
