TMO Note 2 on 4G LTE here in NYC!

Was driving to work just now and while coming off the Clear View Expressway I noticed my N2 had LTE! I quickly lost the signal but once I reached my location a few miles down, I attained the signal again and was able to test it. Not impressive numbers, at least on the downloads as uploads are faster than I've ever had, but it's a start!

Sorry for the bad quality uploads, that's photobucket's mobile app fault. Anyone else here in NYC pick up the signal post up!

I was able to get full bars today on the LTE signal so I tested out what type of download/upload speeds I would get. Pictured below are the results. So far I've only been able to attain an LTE signal in the Queens Village area of Queens NY.

Funny thing is that I tried uploading this very photo to photobucket while I was on LTE with 2 bars showing but the picture would not upload. Had to turn off LTE in order to complete the upload. I'm sure TMO is still working on this and I hope so because so far I'm better off on 4G.

Not bad. I've seen much faster downloads on their HSPA+ networks though. I wish T-Mobile would get LTE out where I'm at, then I would gladly leave Verizon for them. Until then I'm still hanging onto their Unlimited data plan and raping their LTE network for all I can, lol. Might as well for what they charge and how they're treating customers nowadays.

I get a solid 14-15Mps on 4g and at times 17Mps so those LTE numbers are not impressive at all to me but it's probably still in the roll out stages so I'll see how things go.

Yeah about 3 weeks to a month ago, I got an LTE signal here in the Dallas area for a few hours. Then it went away. Figured they were testing it out. So at least I knew when it rolled out officially, I would be in range. Well it rolled out officially for TMobile yesterday here in the Dallas area. I pick it up perfect at my house. These were my speeds earlier:

That's not too shabby Barats; I've seen Verizon LTE as fast as 50+mps. I'm already extremely happy with my 4g speeds so if we get 30mps on LTE here in NY I'll be in the clouds especially since I'm not paying $100 plus a month. Got to admit I'm a huge TMO fan these days!

Agreed. I mean for what I use my phone for, 30+ is fine. Heck even in the 20s is fine. I don't need 50+ for my phone. So far today, everywhere I went I picked up LTE just fine and does not seem to drain my battery at all like some were speculating. Very happy with T-Mobile. Much better than Sprint. That is who I had before T-Mobile.

LTE on Verizon here in DC has just gotten slower and slower since I had my Bionic almost 2 years ago. :(
Hopefully TMo can keep up with their infrastructure and you don't notice the slow down as much.

These numbers are from LTE coverage in the Bronx NY area. Man this uploaded to my photobucket in the blink of an eye!

Not bad! I know the download times aren't anything crazy conpared to other companies but man, the uploads are crazy as I've never had uploads this fast; it''s nice to see my stuff upload in an instant. GPS locks on so fast that the first time I thought my screen froze. Good job TMO!
