Root [TMobile] Possible to run stock Android on Galaxy S5?

Hi all,

I just got a Galaxy S5 phone and it has quite a bit of "junk" and customization on it. Coming from mostly Nexus phones with stock Android it is quite different. I would like to know if it is possible to run stock Android on my T-Mobile Galaxy S5. I have read about rooting the device but it is not clear to me if that will let me run stock Android.

Maybe this question has been answered already but I can't seem to find it.
 
The only way that you can run stock is if you root. Once you root you can flash any custom ROM. Cyanogenmod 11 is basically stock Kit Kat.

So will the process for the mod on the Galaxy S4 work the same on the S5? Has anyone done this already? What about the special functions like fingerprint reader and such? Will those still work with the mod?
 
I'm still debating whether to root or not. Touchwiz is starting to piss me off with all its lag and bloatware, but I do like some of the features that it offers.
 
Head over to google and search R.D.D.T, there is sprint versions of the stock s5 rom rooted and debloated. Ive also ran the international version *sm-900f roms in my sprint s5.
 
Sprint custom debloated, deoxed, tweaked, tgere are also custom kernels I currently rom the nd2 version. All samsung feature work. Download nova launcher after installing rom

Xtremely debloated, this version is as close to vanilla android 4.4.2 you can get and still have finger print scanner to work.... still has touchwiz launcher so again so download nova from play store, or as listed above, kitkat launcher.... google now launcher is also nice

you can install any version of android so long as its signed by samsung made for the verizon SGS5 and not lower than what you have already that you want :).

those are the restrictions on the verizon/att models :)
 
Sorry i should have been a bit more clear, the only software you going to run is touchwiz, you might get modified touchwiz (stock) roms but you wont get AOSP based roms due to the locked bootloader.
