tmobile sorta confirms 2.1 updates

A friend of mine (who like me has a g1) was talking on the phone to t-mobile asking them about the comparison between her phone and the droid.
the guy told her that they're all gonna update to 2.1 soon.
can anybody else confirm this?
it seems that if they're telling us over the phone then it's nearly guaranteed to happen, despite the doubts people had about the g1 getting the update.

and if they're telling us about the update it's probably gonna happen pretty soon.
good news for g1 and mytouch owners

I wouldnt believe a damn thing those reps tell you. Most phone reps dont know what theyre talking about over half the time.

Well Rogers Magc (the MyTouch) is gettng 2.1 so it's not inconceivable that the MyTouch would also get 2.1.

As for the G1, I'm not sure about the memory required but if the MyTouch gets it there's a fair chance the G1 will as well.
