Help To Case & Screen Protect or Not

All:
I am trying to decide wether to put a case and screen protector on. I bought a silicone case and it adds bulk to the nicely thin SG2. The screen protector (have not ordered), will it hamper the view on my screen?

I may try to find a super thin case of some sort.

What is the verdict?

Gorilla Glass is a beautiful thing. I never put a screen protector on my Captivate and never got a single scratch. Of course, I also never put mine in my pocket with coins or keys or anything like that either. In my purse it went into an old cloth sunglasses slip cover to keep it protected (great conversation starter, btw).

I am, however, a big fan of some kind of extra padding for the phone. I'm a klutz and I drop stuff. Even people who are not klutzy will eventually drop their phone since they handle it so much. So some kind of case is nice to cushion the fall.

I have become quite fond of the Seido Innocase. I bought the Platinum series from Best Buy for my Captivate and my wife's BlackBerry; they work incredibly. I am just waiting for a version to be available for my GS2. I do not have any intention of covering the screen, though.

This is a difficult choice for me. One of my favorite things about the GS II is its slim form factor. I just think it is a beautiful device. But I also want to protect it. Needless to say I am still waffleing.

I would never put a case on this monster. The fact that it's so thin and light is what makes this size screen tolerable.

I too love the slimness and lightness of this phone. However I'm afraid that I am eventually going to drop it because it may slip out of my hands. This seems to be a very slippery phone. I need something textured or rubberized just to firmly hold on to,

I didn't even have a screen protector on my old iPhone, so why would I get one on this beautiful phone? Case I'm debating, but don't think I want to pay the cost for even a cheap case to cover up what I think is just a gorgeous phone. I'm very careful with my phones, so I imagine it won't be a huge problem either way..

No case ftw! And definitely no screen protector! Why did you get a gorilla glass phone?

Gorilla glass scratches....it's just less prone to cracking.

As for a case, if you're taking the phone out of the house with you, definitely get one.

The phone is still nice and slim with a TPU case.
