Root To Port Lollipop to the Avant

Okay, so in the recent months, the Avant has seen some pretty good progress.

masterchief87 created a comprehensive guide on rooting this fine phone.
Shabbypenguin gave us the gift of TWRP, with an awesome orange UI.
And of course, our good friend crutchcorn helped build a working (although admittedly buggy) build of the previous android 4.4.4 rom.

However, the custom rom scene is where we're lacking, the official teams like CM seem to only care about developing for the main line of phones such as the Google Nexus and Galaxy S6 even though they already have Lollipop officially. So it looks like it's up to us, the users.

Let us try to port a custom Lollipop rom to our phone. I've been doing reseach as to how to go about doing this, and it's definitely gonna require some help.

I've only recently gotten into android, and I'd like to perhaps network with some people who know a more than I do. This forum has a lot of talented people, and I'm sure the community together will be able to port a rom of Android 5.0 Cyanogen or some other type of rom.
 
I Know, but In my post about having a lollipop, Someone said we have to chill out. But i just want a nice lollipop rom. But i feel you, Lollipop is an awesome rom, with all those custom animations! Hope to see one in the next month or so.

Why not build it from source sync up compile see what needs fixing I'm on s 20 dollar device and there 5.1.1 lolipop roms for it and about 16 kitkat ROMs Google is moving very fast android M should drop next year no need to port

There's very few devices low end that is with unofficial builts of lollipop the post above forgot moto E and moto G both have official lollipop builts

I Wish i knew what you were talking about, but unfortunately i don't. But i cant wait for the future!

Just build a device tree sync the source
