To root or not to root...

I already have sound editing software on my PC. My idea was to edit the sounds on my PC and then copy them to my Droid Razr. It worked fine with my old LG Octane but like I said before I can't find where to put the mp3/wav files on the Razr.

Ok perfect. Put the mp3 into the music folder on the sd card as you want it. Then use ringdroid to set the mp3 you made as a ringtone. Then you don't need to find any specific folder, you can use one that's already there.

Not sure what folder you are refering to. I do not have one that iscalled "music".

This is the closest I have been. I put the edited sound file in MP3 format into the messaging folder. Allthough there are other MP3s in there I cant see the new ones until I open it with ringdroid and resave it as a ringtone. Problem is that they never come out. They are either cut off or all distorted.

I'm getting closer...

GOT IT!!
Like Saywat? talked about...I used Asstro to view the folders/files on the phone. Now keep in mind...I couldn't see the ringtone folder at first but after looking with Astro...it was there. Now when I connect the phone to my PC I can see it...SCORE...now I just copy the MP3 files into the ringtone folder and VOILA!

Thanks to all for your help...

Guess I should have specified to use a good file explorer app lol. Glad you got it squared away...
