to root or not to root

I have a galaxy note 3 i just purchased and was wondering what are the advantages to rooting this device and need a link to accomplish this if you think I should root.

There are several All Things Root sub-forums in the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 section which, depending on which version you have, contain guides to rooting the device.

I always tell people, if you don't know if you should root you probably shouldn't root. I only advise people to root if there is something specific you are trying to do with your phone. Don't root your phone just to root.
