Help to un-root or not?

Just rooted and unlocked my Galaxy S Vibrant (GT-I9000M). I am giving it to my son in law. Will un-rooting it re-lock the phone? Going from Bell to his Telus account. Or should I just leave it be for him? Advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I did a factory reset and the only thing left is the "superuser" icon in the apps menu. I'm not sure if I should leave that there. Don't want him to accidentally brick it. ;P

root will allow user to do more customizations , will not brick phone unless user chose to flash wrong Roms or did not follow flashing procedures :)

I say just leave it rooted.
Will give your son in law something to play with if he likes....
And save him the time of rooting it himself. There is no harm in leaving it rooted at all.

Only way he could brick the phone is if he tries to flash an custom ROM himself. And he can do that if the phone is rooted or not....

Just leave it.
A factory reset just remove user data. It do not change system files.
So the phone will still be rooted.
Also if you did unlock the phone it will also be there until you lock it.
