Help Toggle switchs Invisible?

timattard

Newbie
Hi, i got my razr a few weeks ago and really tempted to send it back, im now having problems where its removing the contact from the fav's bar so i have to re add them each time and also the toggle switches are invisable but im assuming there still there as holding down on the blank space wont do anything i.e. meaning the space is full.
Any ideas?

Thanks
Tim

Try adding them on a homescreen that has space, or delete some stuff to make room on a homescreen. Not sure I understand your fave bar issue.

the favourites bar at the top of the screen looses the contacts that are favouritesed (if that's a word) but they come back normally just annoying, but im not using a non stock launcher mainly because I don't know what that is guessing an app that boots custom widgets? but yeah im using stock android launcher with stock android toggle switch widgets and they come back randomly, ive tried restarting the phone (hold power and volume) and turn off and on. also they are on a screen with 8 blocks our of 16 free and i have tried adding more and wont show up other widgets are fine tho and last thing its sometimes not just the stock toggle switch widgets that disappear its other widgets too but not as common.
This is getting quite annoying and tempted to send it back and get a different phone even tho the actual phone its self its awesome just the moto software im guessing is to blame as i get motorola.home has crashed almost daily :(

Thanks

Maybe simply try replacingthe stock widgets with 3rd party ones from the Market?

With Android you get the freedom of choice. If you do not like one app, use another one.

P.S. Please try to use some full stops and commas next time so we can understand what you say in your post.

lol sorry about the commas, i was in a rush and i normally proof read.

yeah i was about to download some 3rd party ones, but just as i went to do so they appered ha always the way.

if they disapper again will just delete them and get 3rd party ones.

Thanks

This happens if you use non-stock launcher. On the stock one all stock Moto stuff worked great for me.

My experience is the exact opposite of what you describe...maybe. I was using the stock launcher and had no problems at all with my widgets. I installed LPP and everything was still working ok, but I decided I preferred the stock launcher over LPP (I used LPP on my DX).

After I uninstalled LPP, all of a sudden my widgets stopped updating (Beautiful Widgets, Circle Launcher, Fancy Widgets, Widgetsoid, Moto Widgets, etc.). I would go to add a widget to a home screen, and as the OP noted, the space was being taken up on my screen, but the widget was invisible. The only way to get the widget to re-appear was to either reboot the phone or wait anywhere from 5-10 minutes for it to randomly appear.

During the $0.10 sale, I downloaded ADW EX and now everything is working great again.

ADW EX is just so good. Been using it since it came out. Its a steal at 10 cents. Glad you picked it up to try it.

I love it! I miss my LPP widgets, but it was just feeling old and stale to me. Either because Fede hadn't updated it in months or because I had it on my DX for the entire time I owned it...

ADW EX offers sooo many more customizations over LPP, plus I'm using the ability to create folders and drop them on my dock...LOVE IT!

I do not use stock launcher myself either. I had problems with Fifty Two widget and after trying my old LPP I had for well a year and a half,ADW EX that I use on my Tab and finally settled for Go EX. Not all widgets from Blur work, but I got everything the way I wanted.
