Help Toggle wi-fi on/off

Not that I know of, but I like having quick access to toggling the other things on and off as well and changing brightness levels from auto to something more specific I might want at the time.

I've gone the route of grouping apps by type and having four folders on my home screen for the different types I use and then have phone, text, work e-mail, and Gmail on my bar at the bottom. It's been kind of a tradeoff between having a clean looking home screen and a more functional one. I eventually opted for the latter.

Thanks for these excellent ideas.

I'm big on keeping my home screens clutter free and like a clean minimalist look while not sacrificing functionality.

Cheers!

Sure, no problem.

The widget setup I have might not work too well for you, then (it is a little cluttered looking), but grouping frequently used apps by their type in folders is both nice and practical and helps cut down on clutter.

I use erobot https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bartat.android.robot&hl=en
It can be advanced for some but for a free app I found that it was the one that worked the best for my needs. It scans for cell towers around your chosen location and when it detects them you can set it to enable wifi and disable data. The best part is it does not use gps so the battery usage is extremely minimal. Others I tried where pretty wonky.
I also have it (combined with "secure settings") so when I connect power in my car It enables Bluetooth, connects to my radio and disable screen lock so I don't have to enter pin or pattern.

His Elixir 2 and elixir2 widget is excelent. I also have a status bar quick widget with this app.

I've been trying out Power Toggles for a few days now and have discovered some unusual behaviour.
When I go out I turn off Wi-Fi and turn on 3G/Mobile. So far, so good. However, when I look at my phone again I sometimes find that it has turned Wi-Fi back on again of its own accord. Why?
I'm sure it must be some setting that I have overlooked or that I am not aware of, but if I want Wi-Fi off should it be able to contradict my wishes like that?

Edit: It has just occurred to me that I have been leaving 'Data sync' on (on the Power Toggles icon) when turning off Wi-Fi. Would this account for the phone turning Wi-Fi back on?

Just on the off-chance that someone else may have encountered similar problems, I think I may have found the problem.

In Battery Guru, one of the settings is 'Manage Wi-Fi: Allow Wi-Fi to turn on or off based on your usage.' This was set to 'on'.

I have now turned it off and seem to have overcome the problem of Wi-Fi turning on automatically when I have turned it off in Power Toggles.

I hope this discovery may be of some use to others.
