TomTom for Android soon to be released

If they are able to release an Android version still this year, then its a very good news for us the consumers. :)

It depends on how it functions. For example versions have been released that don't allow to use third party POIs - a big no no for me. CoPilot 8 has lots of niggles but seems pretty embedded as the off-line Satnav of choice for Android now.

I used TT with Windows Mobile, and there I could import my own POIs (mostly speedcams). Perhaps, TT is pushing for its own Speed Cameras Service, therefore trying to limit POI import on the iphone.

In any case, TT should bring more features and competition in Android navigation. Their customized voices feature is a huge fun to use. :)
