Top 5 Apps Thread!!

What are your top 5 favorite apps!?

I don't have a top 5 yet since I just started using my phone an hour ago...

Right off the bat, I like:

* SMS PopUp: Tweaks for incoming SMS
* Google Voice: Of course
* Pandora / Last.FM: Music!

what does the better keyboard app do?

It is a better keyboard lol. It has a little bit bigger buttons and sensitivity. You can also swipe while using it and it will give you a t9 number pad or compact qwerty if you prefer to use that instead. it is 1.99 in the market, but well worth it.

Did a lot of research before buying, and had some ready to roll. My top 5 so far:

iMap Weather - huge for me, replaces Berryweather
FeedR - Great RSS app ($0.99)
FlyScreen
Pandora
Advanced Task Killer

i'm having a hard time finding open home. when i search for it i find hundreds of skins but not the app...also how do you get an account to buy apps?

CatsTide

Try searching for "Open Home Full", that worked for me. It still pulled up a some skins, but the app itself was the fourth or fifth one in the list for me.

Does it work. Panda Home wallpapers don't cover the whole screen and aHome just crashed when I tried it.

I can't say how it works. :o I went looking for it after reading the 50 apps for Droid users article and then work and real life interupted me before I could give it a whirl. I'm hoping to try it out tomorrow after I finish getting the backyard ready for winter.

PDANet
Pandora/Slacker/Last.FM (whichever you prefer)
Google Voice
Facebook
NES/SNES/GBA/GNS Emulator

What is SMRTGUARD?

It's a mobile backup/protection solution. It lets you backup all your apps, sms, email, etc... but also you can check your phone position online, remote wipe it, and all sorts of things, audible tone if you can't find it, etc.

It's a big Blackberry App and I had a free 6 month subscription so when I found out they have a Android beta I jumped on it.

So far so good.

dgMoney is a great simple finance tracker and a new version is coming soon

DgAlert is a simpler version of sms popup

I'm also interested in Smrtguard, found the beta here, just don't know how to install an app without going through Market. (Be nice, first time poster and obviously new to Droid) :D

Coming from a Blackberry... I found that Locale is an essential add on for folks wishing they had sound profiles like on the BB.

You can set sound profiles by location (way cooler than what a BB could do) or by time of day (still cooler than what the BB could do).

Not sure if you can manually switch to another profile or not.

i was looking on the market online and saw the game air hockey. does anyone have that? if it works halfway decent, i'd be all over that!
