Torch app

Anyone found a good torch (flashlight) app for the Desire yet

there's a few in the market but most seem to work on the Droid or Milestone

lights are well handy for late night trying to get the key in the door escapades

I too have been looking for one as I always found it very useful on my old phone.

I guess it is just a case of waiting for someone to write an app for it on the Desire.

Although having said that I think I read somewhere that it is not possible to turn the LED on without having root access to the phone.

Do you mean one that uses the camera flash?

There's loads that just make the screen bright, that's the "Hello World!" of apps.
