haha yuup i got a brick i turned it off one day and turned it on again and it stayed black and vibrated 5 times i looked around and heard it was a hard ware problem so i called big red and got a replacement! its over a year old too

Are you sure it's bricked and not just in diagnostic mode?

Pull the battery for a minute put back in and attempt to turn on.

It's when you hit volume up while turning the phone on, causes the phone to vibrate 5 times and do nothing else. The only way to get out of it, is to pull the battery.

After pulling battery and turning back on. It does the same thing?

Have you tried pressing the power volume down and optical joystick at the same time. Then before anything happens. Hold the volume down until it goes into hboot.
