total newbie using first smartphone

I inherited my son's Motorola Triumph which I understand is obsolete. But it will be a good training model for me to learn on. With the help of a knowledgeable friend and a tutorial from this forum, I was able to root it and install Cyanogen Mod 9.0.0.

One quick question: Is there a way to increase the size of the keyboard or download an alternate keyboard with larger keys and letters? The screen is small on this phone, but I don't need much space for text since I'm only using it for texting at this point. I will gladly sacrifice space on the screen for a larger keyboard.

I downloaded a free app called Super Keyboard, but when I went to install it I got a warning that my keystrokes might be recorded! That sounds like spyware to me, but I am new to this.

Any suggestions? Thanks for any help for this total android newbie.

Welcome relztrah!!
I think all 3rd party keyboards from the PlayStore wil ask you that, but I wouldn't concern yourself with that warning:)

There are quite a few keyboards in the PlayStore and as far as recommending one, I use Swiftkey myself :)

Hope that helps a little bit
