total noob to galaxy ring

I need help here. I'm trying to download APKs and whatnot to my phone but reading you need to root to play them.. I had a LG Vortex before this and had no trouble. I'm really wanting to play final fantasy games without emulators.(such as 5 and dimensions)

I need help either with rooting or finding s different method.

Any help is much appreciated.

You need root to play games that need root. You don't need root to install and play games that don't need root. (Root just gives you administrative access to the operating system. Not all apps or games need it.)

Okay, So how exactly do I root? I have no computer right now (got stolen from my car).
