Touch screen issues

Hi folks

I'm having an issue with my touch screen on my Oukitel k6000 pro. When scrolling or typing, the lower section of the will become unresponsive or behave in a weird way. I've attached a video using a screen test app to show what I mean.
At first I thought it was the screen protector I was using as when I took it off, the problem seemed to stop. However, now with a naked screen it still does it sometimes.
Does anyone know if it is a hardware or software issue?

Thanks in advance 😀

It might be some ad ware the app you uninstalled brought with is making you freeze..
Try to go into recovery, clear the cache and delvik as well..

Let me know.

Thanks, I'll try that when I get a free minute. I have factory reset it as well and that didn't cure the problem, if it is an app/adware could it survive a factory reset?

Never mind, I've tried wiping the cache partition and it doesn't seem to have made any difference. Can't find the dalvik cache either...

Situation seems to have resolved itself... I found an article that said knocking on the corners of the screen can realign the digitizer. I thought it to be hocus pocus, however... Either it's a massive coincidence or it has had some positive impact. Or it was wizard aliens. Who knows...
