Hi,
I'm having a nightmare with my HTC Desire HD. Yesterday I accidentally clicked a button that started updating all my aps when I was connected to wi-fi, after a few hours I realised what I had done and stopped this from happening. However, my phone was then really really slow so I uninstalled a load of apps I no longer use and restarted it. I was then taken to the Hboot screen, so I restarted again and was taken back to the Hboot screen.. I decided to do a factory reset to see if this would fix the problem and once it restarted it took my to the usual home screen but the touch screen no longer works! I can't do anything, not even swipe the button to unlock.
I've taken it to three separate mobile phone repair shops today who have all said they need to replace the screen.
Does it sound like the screen needs replacing? Or could it be to do with the apps update, hboot thing?
It just seems like a massive coincidence the screen stops responding after doing the factory reset etc. I haven't dropped the phone or exposed it to any water. So I really don't know what the issue could be! One minute it was just really quite slow and the next the touch screen isn't working.
I have also never seen that Hboot screen before and I've had this phone for over 2 years.
Thanks in advance for any advice!
