Touch Screen Problem?

I just got myself a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and I've noticed that the bottom part of the screen is not very responsive. I have to tap on an app or on screen menu several times to get it to work. Is this normal?

I have the same problem but in my case, I'm hoping it's only because of over-protection on my screen. I left that original screen protector on there, the one that was on the phone when it arrived, and then put the phone in an Otterbox Defender case that has its own permanent screen protector. I had done the same thing on my Note 4 and it didn't interfere with touch sensitivity on the bottom of the screen at all. Now, I can hardly type out a text message. Space bar and symbol/letter button, being on bottom, are especially unresponsive.

I noticed on Verizon forums that a lot of people were complaining about over-sensitivity on the S7 Edge screen and I found no suggestions about getting more if I wanted it - it's not on offer in Settings. My tap speed is set to 'short' in 'Accessibility.'
I'll try your code, Snakeyeskm. Is that a star, or asterisk symbol at the beginning that I'm supposed to type in first?

Asterisk
Screen protectors can easily cause this issue.
Try setting your pointer speed towards the middle and see if it makes a difference.
I'll remove the included screen protector and trust the one Otterbox gave me on its own, then. Decreasing the pointer speed never even occurred to me! I'd thought I was somehow getting more responsiveness by keeping it 'short.' Thanks!

I don't have a screen protector on, since phone is still under warranty I sent it back to Samsung, hopefully they can fix it or send me a new phone.

It is really abnormal. Is it your phone still in warranty? Just contact the sellers to see what should be done to process such issues.
