Help Touch Screen Sensitivity

Have two M8s. On one, sometimes it does not awaken with 'two taps' and sometimes it does. Any ideas about this?

On both, which are stock with stock keyboards, it is sometimes (not always) difficult to "swipe to answer" and calls, therefore, go to voicemail while trying to answer. Again, and ideas about this?

I had major issue with an over active screen when I first got my phone. At times it seemed to have a mind of its own. I would touch the screen to open a music app and the app next to it would open as well.

I was ready to send the phone back when I decided to factory reset. After that all, the major issues ceased, though I do experience the double tap issue you mentioned. I just restart and it clears. This screen is very sensitive, way more than my Note 3.

I don't use screen protectors, do you?

Yes, both phones have screen protectors. Strange that the touch screen issues are intermittent - cannot figure a pattern of 'misbehavior.

Are there other ways/apps to answer the M8 - replace the stock "answer mode."
