Help Touch Screen Unrsponsive after pocket time

I have owned my streak for less than a month now and have always kept it in leg pocket on my pants.
At first I noticed no problem.

But recently after taking my streak out of my pocket I've notice that the touch screen is not responsive.
After a minute or so out it goes back to normal.

Has anyone experience similar problem?

Should I call this a defect and contact/return to Dell?

I never had the problem on 1.6 but the problem started on 2.1 and continues on 2.2. For me, when I am listening to music through earphones the screen becomes unresponsive after about 5 minutes of it being in my pocket. Really don't know why they didn't keep the old unlock system as this really is the one and only dislike about this phone. I wouldn't mind as much but I use it for music quite a lot.

I've had issues like that but typically it is just after the phone isnt used for a few hours. I honestly just think that some of the things can take a while to warm back up

Running screen seems to have fixed my problem.
Only been a few hours after doing this but I haven't had it happen since the calabration.

I've not heard of "running screen"? Please explain (Dell Streak newbie here!)... Thanks!

It was a typo :p He meant to say "Running screen calibration...". Anyway, this is the link I used: http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/kcs/document?c=us&l=en&s=gen&docid=DSN_870C8DC7568D4DDFE040AC0A64E93F03&isLegacy=true

EDIT: Thanks stevenlong, your suggestion worked perfectly, I no longer suffer this problem. If only I had known about it sooner. :p
