Help Touchscreen won't work after replacement

fuzzums

Lurker
I cracked the screen on my Sony xperia m android phone, the touchscreen was still working. I have replaced the screen but now the touchscreen won't work at all. I have checked all the connections and everything seems fine. I thought it might be a faulty screen/ digitiser but have tried another one and it still doesn't work. I am wondering if I may have damaged part of the lcd screen or one of the connections during replacement and if i should now replace the lcd screen, however the display appears to be fine. I don't expect anyone to know this actual phone but would be grateful for any advice re if I should replace the lcd screen although this is working and if this may help the touchscreen work or any other ideas? Thanks

I don't know how practical it would be, but if you can find another Xperia to try the Screen out on I'd say that would be the way to go. The other thing you could try is putting your cracked screen back just to see if the touch screen works. That would let you know if maybe one of the connections got damaged during replacement at least.
