TOUGH stove cleaning

Any parts that are removeable...

I was a dishwasher for a time at a restaurant, a place that just so happened to be known for its chili.

The place opened for us at 6AM, customers at 8AM.

So there were two large ceramic coated pots that chili was heated inside from 6AM until closing at 1AM the next morning.

Needless to say, there was often 3/4 of an inch of severely baked on chili all around and in the bottoms of these $%&#@+? things by the time I got them, which was inevitably after most everything else was done.

Homie don't play dat, lol.

I found their stash of bleach, and filled up one sink of the 3 sink set up with scalding hot water and a good amount of bleach.

As soon as I got them, into the bleach went the devils.

No kidding, after 15-20 minutes, you could wipe them out with a rag.

You could boil some water, or even just turn up your water heater to max and wait for it to heat the water up to its limit.

Remember to turn the heater back down when you are done!

Soak whatever you can in very hot, strong bleach water, and see if it won't help remove the crap.

Also, if it is stainless, after you get it clean wipe it down with food grade mineral oil, or even light cooking oil if the other is unobtainable.

Then they will be easy to clean the next time, and will stay nice looking.

It's pretty much moot. Maybe this info will be useful later. At least somebody will probably find it helpful.
