Many of you might be aware of this, but jcsullins has a thread on Rootzwiki to help users that have Touchpads that are not bootable.

TPDebrick v004 - HP Touchpad - RootzWiki

I picked up 2 Touchpads on fleeBay with the idea of bringing them back from the dead. The first one just needed 10 minutes on the charger and the screen came up and it's been fine since.

I'm starting on the second one tonight. (I've had it for over a month now. :D)

If you're like me, with a Windows or Mac, you still need Linux to do this. The easiest way it to create a bootable cd with Linux or if you have a sdcard with about 4 gb free, you can install Linux on that. That's what I'm doing.

Here's where you can create a bootable sdcard with Linux: How to create a bootable USB stick on Windows | Ubuntu You can even use the installer to download Linux for you. :D
