Track Lost / Stolen Android Devices..Which App?

Yep, no problem. If you do decide to install it as a /system app, if you're rooted, you can always use Root Explorer (or any other file manager that allows root access) to uninstall it.
One quick tip is in Cerberus, hit up the settings and set up a way to hide it from your app drawer. You'll set up a dial code (phone # to "call") and it'll bring the app up. Good second defense if someone sees the app on your phone and tries to uninstall it.

I also like Android's Device Manager app. What I like about it is, if you install it on any of your other android devices, it will allow you to find your lost/stolen device directly using the other device such as a tablet or other android phone. This is really useful if you aren't in front of a computer and need to quickly locate your device.

I've been using the free Avast anti-theft module which (if you're rooted) can be installed in the system such that essentially nobody but you can find it or uninstall it. However, since Cerberus is offering a free download (today only) I also just installed that. I'll play with Cerberus to see if it's as good as Avast.
