Welcome to Android Forums.

There are many options for locating your phone if it's lost. Most people will install an app like Lookout Mobile Security for Android | AppBrain.com or SeekDroid for Android | AppBrain.com, but there are others.

You might want to ask the folks in Samsung Captivate - Android Forums to see if there's one that works better with your particular model.
