Transfer Movies to External SD Card

EdHilario

Lurker
I downloaded a movie from the Google Play app and will eventually purchase more once I can successfully transfer the movies on to the external SD card.

I looked through the My Files organizer as well as connecting it to my PC via the USB cable and was able to find a WVM file that was 2.32GB.

After copying the file to the SD card into another folder, I wasn't able to play the movie so I left the original where it was.

Is there something else I'm missing?
Thanks in advance.

The files are DRM'd and Google video store app will not recognize anything placed in the external card. I use MX Player and it plays the DRM videos fine (after acquiring the license check).

Edit: Note 2 and Note 10.1. Both play my Google movies in the external card.

I'd only be able to keep a couple of movies on the tablet's internal memory at one time then.

All I was able to do was keep all my music on the external SD card.
I'm still trying to "trim the fat" as far as the stock apps the Note 8 came with however some of them cannot even be deleted. :(

Yeah. Sadly, companies these days are concentrating on having you stream everything. I hate being dependent on an internet connection.

Well a big reason why I picked up the Note was to watch movies on longer flights.
I guess it's all just a measure to prevent piracy but when something is purchased legitimately and you just want to have a dedicated movie SD card, it sucks.
We should be able to put them wherever we want and if the big companies want additional security measures, just have an authentication process.
