Root Transfer rooted sd card info to another sd card

Hey newbie here!! I rooted my LG Esteem and currently have 4gb card installed currently ordered a 16gb card. Is it safe to transfer the files from the card with the rooted information to the new card and how can this be done with out causing errors?

ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!:o

Yea completely fine. Just copy all the files on your 4gb to your computer and then put the 16gb in your comp and highlight all the files from the 4gb and click and drag them to the 16gb.

And welcome to Android Forums bud ;) :)

Just to help your confusion the sd card isnt what gets rooted its your system files. so files/folders off your sd cards have nothing to do with your root.

I tried that but more than half my apps show as not installed. I have an Optimus V and to get around the tiny internal memory I use Link2sd and App2sd for almost anything that can be moved. When I copied and installed the new sd, gmail, google voice, amazon app store were gone. Tried to reinstall, but after the amazon app store loaded my internal memory was gone...filled. It wasn't like that on the old 16GB card. I'm not sure whats happening here.

Ok if the apps that are missing they are located in that folder called android secured if you used that app called apps to sd . If they not there put the phone to usb and open folder on your pc . Now if apps are not showing you need to redownload them and scroll over to manage apps look at the tab called sd card and check all that you want on sd card . And then check folder to see if apps are in android secure ... check internal and external

When you install apps to the SD card its only for the current installed ROM only. If you move the card to another device you will have to reinstall everything unless you had backed it up first.
