When I connect my Galaxy S4 phone to my computer, nothing happens and nothing opens up. Why??

Have you opened up the file manager on the computer?
With most Android phones, either a pop-up will come on the phone screen asking if you want to use it as storage, etc., or a similar message in the notification bar. Our Galaxy Victory just automatically mounts itself, although I do still have to open up the file manager on the PC to access the files.
